Dealers - Tuning all Hondata systems
Download the Dealer Application and Hondata policy in Word format.
By sending us this application you agree to not advertise below the minimum
advertised price.
If you want to tune Hondata systems - stage 2 or higher, for other
people here is what you will need a minimum of :
- Your own Windows laptop.
- $950 - Dealer s200 (S200 with boost, datalogging, 3-Step and RomEditor) with
Moates Burn1 and Ostrich real time emulator).
Price not including freight $950. (This price is less if you already have some
of the components).
- Must own a dyno (we recommend the Dynapack)
with a wide band lambda meter.
Once you have the s200, ROM Editor, HondaLogger and EPROM programmer you are
ready to sell and tune Hondata s200 systems, at much lower prices than any
standalone systems. 85 % of Hondata sales are in the $300-$800 range, which are
prices no standalones are capable of reaching. We require all dealers to
have the s200 dealer kit as there are many thousands of potential customers that
need tuning and we want all our dealers to be able to provide this service.
All Hondata systems ship with the stock Honda fuel and ignition maps
for the Civic and Integra and Prelude - the results of large amounts of
tuning by the world's best engine manufacturer. This means the cars start,
idle and have good emissions. In addition there is a large and increasing
library of maps for most NA, turbo and supercharged VTEC and Non VTEC
Hondas for you to use as starting points.
After a minimum number of sales you are listed as a dealer on the
website. (sell 5 systems and provide us with before and after dyno results
as well as the calibration file used)
You will receive 20% off the first 4 systems after purchasing the dealer kit
at full price, and 25% after that. Our retail price list can be viewed at Prices.
You cannot modify stock chips or chips from other manufacturers with
the Hondata software.
Additional notes for dealers
Dealers must support and tune Hondata systems which they sell. Referring
customers to other dyno tuning shops is not acceptable. Re-selling Hondata
systems without adding any value (e.g. internet sales) is not acceptable, as per
the MAP agreement.
Dealers - Installing Hondata systems
You will need either:
- To send the ECU to Hondata for modification ($75-$100 plus shipping)
- To use a local qualified electronics technician
- To socket the ECU yourself
If you wish to install systems yourself you will need about $450 for
the following:
- Soldering iron (we recommend the Hakko
936 temperature controlled static safe soldering iron).
- De-soldering station (we recommend the Hakko
808 de-soldering station).
